Capability

design
From first brief to final file, we design capability statements that turn your expertise into a submission people actually remember. Let's talk about working together.
Capability statement and impact report design
Your capability statement is often the first, and sometimes only, chance to make your case to a client, panel or funding body. AVGD designs capability statements that communicate your expertise clearly, strengthen submissions and improve stakeholder engagement, for commercial, government and institutional projects. If you need the words written as well as designed, we offer capability statement copy and design as a single package.

Stadia Precinct: Investment Proposal
As both a tender proposal design and capability design project, the brief called for a document that could carry real commercial weight while still feeling considered, credible, and distinctly Stadia Precinct.
AVGD works with you
Clarity under pressure: we distil complex capability, experience and pricing information into a document that's easy for a panel to assess quickly.
Deadline-aware: tender submissions have hard cutoffs; we build our process and timelines around your submission date.
Reusable systems: we design templates you can adapt for future submissions, not just a one-off document.
Same design discipline as our publication work: the structure, hierarchy and typography skills we use on annual reports and institutional publications apply directly to making a capability statement easy to read and hard to ignore.
The process isn’t always linear – but it starts and ends the same way.
Here's how we take your annual report from first conversation to final files:
-
Understand the opportunity, evaluation criteria and deadline
-
Organise your capability, experience and value proposition
-
Apply your brand (or build a fit-for-purpose look) across the document
-
Fast turnaround cycles to meet submission dates
-
Final file delivery and pdf supply
FAQ’s
What's the difference between a capability statement and a tender response?
A capability statement is a general, reusable overview of who you are and what you do: often 1–4 pages. A tender response is a specific, detailed submission answering a client or government brief, which may include a capability statement as one component.
Can you work to a tight submission deadline?
Yes, tender and bid work is inherently deadline-driven, and we structure our process to meet fixed submission dates.
Do you provide a template we can reuse?
Yes, most capability statement projects can be delivered as an editable template your team can update for future submissions.
Do you work within our existing brand guidelines?
Yes, or we can develop a presentation system specifically for submissions if you don't have one.
Can you write the capability statement content, not just design it?
Yes, we partner with copy writers to provide capability statement a combined package, or we can design around content you already have.
